Practical information
Browsing on Ty Domino
Our catamaran Ty Domino is a steady boat, because of its 2 hulls it does not list.
We favor sailing. Develop the pleasure, the sensations of navigation under sail.
Navigating under sail allows silent and low-speed navigation that disturbs marine ecosystems less.
However, some parts of the route must be done with a motor (near the islets, access channels). To get closer to the coast in order to see certain sites clearly, it is necessary to put the engines on. It is also wise to use the engines when the boat has to come up against strong winds and heavy chop.
-
What time is boarding? For the DAY trip, meet at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. departure. For the SATURDAY HALF DAY outing, meet at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. departure.
-
Where to park? The Marina's private car park is at your disposal.
-
What items to take on board?A swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, lycra, sunglasses, water shoes and snorkel fins if you have them.
-
Do you have to know how to swim to participate in the excursion? No, it is not mandatory to know how to swim. Life jackets or swimming chips can be lent to you in order to evolve in the water if you wish to go into the sea. Remember that on the white bottoms it is shallow and you can have foot. Children's bathing is under the supervision of their parents or guardians.
-
Does it matter what age to go on a catamaran trip? The boat trip is accessible to anyone of any age. However, it should be taken into account that for a very young child a strong wind can be unpleasant for him.
-
And health ?If you have a serious health problem or if you are pregnant, make sure that the boat trip is not contraindicated. Our catamaran is not equipped to accommodate a person in a wheelchair.
-
What if the sun is playing hide and seek?Martinique is a tropical region (therefore humid), showers are frequent and often short-lived. The weather changes very quickly and varies a lot from one site to another (it is not because it rains in the early morning in Sainte Anne that it will rain all day at Robert). The wind and the “alarmist” weather forecasts of rough seas have little effect on coastal navigation in the excursion area, which is sheltered from the swell. The decision to cancel the sea trip due to weather is solely that of the captain for whom your safety comes first. If the captain were to make the decision to cancel the outing due to a serious weather alert, then we would offer you a new date or, if that is not possible, a refund of what you paid.
-
How long in advance should I notify if I wish to cancel or postpone my outing? We ask that you notify us more than 15 days before the release date if you must cancel or postpone for personal reasons. If you notify us more than 15 days in advance, your deposit will be refunded. If you notify us less than 15 days in advance, the deposit will be retained.
-
TY DOMINO is not going to Josephine's bathtub? We can't take you for a peaceful ride if we're going to Josephine's Bath. In season, this site is very busy and very noisy.
-
What are “white backgrounds”?White bottoms are shallow sandy areas adjoining an islet or a coral reef.
-
Should I book in advance? We recommend it.
-
What are the payment options available ?If you need to pay a deposit, you can do so by credit card; we send you a secure payment link when you request your reservation. For the payment of the amount due on the day of the outing, we only accept cash, ANCV holiday vouchers and checks for an amount of less than €250. On site, we do not take credit cards.
-
Is the daily program flexible? The program is not fixed, the captain can decide to go to a less frequented site, or to reverse the sites visited, it depends on the attendance of the islets (in high season, and in particular at the time lunch they can be overwhelmed with people).
